In recent years, Chenzhou City has applied for ecological restoration projects such as Suxian District Metal Mine and Linwu Sanshiliu Bay Mine. Chenzhou City has also been rated as a national demonstration zone for green mining development, and has been designated as the only pilot project for the transformation of urban mining to green development in Hunan.
