Homestay tourism has gradually become a bright spot in the development of Chenzhou's tourism. Chenzhou City relies on abundant tourism resources and human resources to vigorously build and cultivate ecology, health, humanism and exquisite homestays. The whole city's tourism industry of high-quality homestay shows a steady development trend.

In recent years, through precise docking with the Chenzhou Chamber of Commerce in other places, Chenzhou has launched a special investment campaign of "Attracting Townsmen, Returning Home and Building Hometown", encouraging a group of successful person with Chenzhou nationality to join the homestay industry, and encouraging local talents and migrant workers to return home to start businesses and build homestays.

In recent years, Chenzhou City, relying on its own advantages of transportation location and ecological resources, has combined with the establishment of a global tourism demonstration zone, and vigorously promoted the development of homestay, providing a new driving force for the transformation and upgrading of Chenzhou's tourism industry. Since the birth of real tourist boutique homestays in 2016, Chenzhou City has attracted a large number of investors to invest in Chenzhou and local residents to invest in the construction of tourist boutique homestays by introducing support policies, strengthening publicity and promotion, and vigorously attracting investment. This year, Chenzhou City promulgated the Circular on the Issuance of the "Three-year Plan of Action for Accelerating the Development of Boutique Tourist Homestay in Chenzhou (2018-2020)" to comprehensively speed up the development of Chenzhou's tourist homestay.

At present, Chenzhou's boutique tourist homestay presents the pattern of "one core and multi-points", and the development mode of "scenic spots + homestays". "One core" is a group of boutique tourist homestays, based on the 5A scenic spot of Dongjiang Lake. The "multi-points" is a group of boutique tourist homestays, based on the scenic spots, beautiful countryside and ancient villages with good local ecological environment, including the boutique tourist homestays, centrally distributed in 12 plates of the Damangshan Mountain, Dafeitian Mountain, Yangtian Lake, China Silver Capital, Rice Field Park, Mountain Health in Guidong County, Reshui Hot Spring, along Xihe River and Linwu Dragon Culture, Jiahe Casting Capital, and so on.
 

By the end of September this year, 41 boutique homestays (including family inns and resorts) have been built and operated in the city, with a total investment of 267 million yuan, an average annual visitor reception of 160,000 people, and a total tourism income of 212 million yuan, accounting for 0.47 percent of the total tourism income in the same period. In the whole year of 2018, 25 boutique homestay projects and 200 ordinary homestay projects have been invested, with a total investment of 3.58 billion yuan. The scale and quality of boutique tourist homestay projects have been greatly improved.

With the vigor of Chenzhou's boutique tourist homestay, the development environment of homestay has been continuously optimized, and the demand for homestay consumption has also been in short supply.
