A centralized water supply project with 1.4 million yuan investment collected by Yongfeng village, Rucheng county was on the final construction step and would be opened to public currently. Once finished, thousands people would benefit to get safe drinking water. That was one project among Rucheng county’s third batch rural safe drinking water projects. The first two batches have been fulfilled in 7 villages and towns of Rucheng county.

In recent years, many water conservancy projects were carried out by Rucheng county by seizing the chance of national favorable policies on Luoxiao mountainous areas development. In 2012, a ten year water conservancy construction plan with 395 million yuan investment was figured out in Rucheng county which greatly raised the county people’s passion on water conservancy project construction. Meanwhile, 15.56 million yuan were invested on the safe drinking water projects to ensure people’s safe drinking water supply. Flood control and disaster prevention & control projects were paid high attention by the county, besides 6.55 million yuan investment on the project construction, monitoring stations, early warning equipments and propaganda columns were set accordingly. Furthermore, the reinforcement work on some dangerous water reservoirs was handled by Rucheng county government as well.

Because of its function on promoting the development of agriculture and ecological construction, Rucheng county figured out 228 key water conservancy projects. At the same time, 33.98 million yuan was invested on the small water conservancy projects which greatly helped to enhance the irrigation condition and upgrade working efficiency. In order to reach a better water conservancy project development, Rucheng county invested 10 million yuan to establish the water conservancy investment and financing management center and started the water scheduling work with Yongyi county of Jiangxi province.
