Yizhang County is located in the south of Chenzhou City, 50 kilometers away from the Chenzhou Municipal People's Government.
The Yizhang County People's Government is situated in the Lujiajing Courtyard of Chengguan Town. The county has jurisdiction over 11 towns including Chengguan and Meitian, and 16 townships like Chengnan and Jiangshui.
It covers an area of 2,142 square kilometers, of which the cultivated area occupies 22,579 hectares. The county boasts a population of 551,991 from143, 656 households.
Yizhang County is rich in mineral resources. There is a deposit of 36 types of minerals from 9 categories, including gold, silver, lead, zinc and tin.
