According to the Working Conference on Traffic and Transportation of Chenzhou held on March 15, the city would inject 9.2 billion Yuan this year to ensure successful traffic construction.

Xiang Lili, deputy secretary of the CPC Chenzhou Municipal Committee and mayor of Chenzhou City requested the concerned personnel to work hard in matters related to traffic and transportation. He said that the people should open their minds, innovate management, and accelerate the establishment of a new traffic pattern which results in only an hour drive to Pearl River Delta Region and Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan City Cluster, and half an hour to Chenzhou city proper.

Mayor Xiang stated that since this year is the decisive year of the three-year battle for traffic construction as well as the first year of the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" period, efforts should be made for a good start in order to facilitate the new traffic pattern in Chenzhou. 

Mr. Xiang pointed out that the concerned authorities should bring innovation in traffic construction, try to bridge the gap, broaden the vision and the thought process. Also new ideas should be brought forth in management to refine it and afforest the roads.

In addition, he asked to seek for innovative financing and mechanism to realize leapfrog development of traffic construction of Chenzhou.
