Gong Jianming, vice chairman of the CPPCC Hunan Provincial Committee, led a group of the Committee for Social and Legal Affairs of CPPCC Hunan Provincial Committee to investigate urban and rural subsistence allowances in Beihu District and Yizhang County of Chenzhou City from May 27 to 28.

 

 

Mr. Gong pointed out that the subsistence allowances work in Chenzhou has stepped into a standardized and systematic track, benefiting the majority of households receiving minimum living allowances.

 

 

According to Gong, further efforts should be exerted to intensify the system improvement and standardized management and explore the appropriate calculation method of family income so as to define candidates in a scientific and accurate way.

 

 

He also urged that greater endeavors should be made to regulate procedures in application, review, approval as well as granting of allowances and enhance dynamic management so that almost every low-income individual and family can enjoy the benefit, so as to promote social security system construction and harmonious development in urban and rural areas.
