The 11th contact meeting of six municipal people’s congresses in Hunan, Jiangxi and Guangdong Provinces was held in Chenzhou on May 26.

 

 

Present at the meeting were the Standing Committee officials from the Municipal People's Congresses of Hengyang, Yongzhou and Chenzhou in Hunan Province, Ganzhou in Jiangxi Province, as well as Qingyuan and Shaoguan in Guangdong Province.

 

 

Director of the Standing Committee of Chenzhou Municipal People’s Congress Zhong Benqiang presided over the conference.

 

 

Xiang Lili, mayor of Chenzhou city delivered a speech and briefly introduced the city’s economic and social development.

 

 

He said that in recent years, Chenzhou has vigorously innovated its development mode, appropriately optimized industrial structure and has actively undertaken industry transfer to propel the project construction and to improve the living standards of its citizens. This way, Chenzhou has stepped into an era featured by wide-range internationalization, large-amount investment, active construction projects and vigorous development.

 

 

Chenzhou city will study the experiences of its six brother cities and take steps towards rapid and scientific development, said Mayor Xiang. 

 

 

He also expressed hope that Chenzhou and the six brother cities would strengthen exchange and cooperation and jointly promote a sound and rapid economic development.
