Anren County’s Environmental Treatment Considered a State-level Project

It is informed from the Hunan Provincial Department of Environmental Protection that the comprehensive environmental treatment in 12 administrative villages of Anren County, Chenzhou city, has been included as a state-level project, winning over a fund of 15 million yuan. This is the largest project of the county with support from higher-level government in recent years.

 
After treatment, the qualification rate of drinking water in the 12 villages has reached 100%. Surface water environmental quality is up to the standard. The disposal rate of household waste in fixed deposit achieves 100% and garbage harmless treatment rate reaches above 70%. Domestic sewage disposal rate is over 60% and the independent participation in environmental protection attains above 90%. Upon the successful application of the project, efforts have been focused on drinking water source protection rooted in local conditions, disposal of domestic sewage, waste water produced from poultry and livestock farming, and agricultural wastes, as well as the treatment of household waste and living environment. 33,357 people will directly benefit from this project.
