In the third historical relics census, experts have found original places of the Southern Hunan Revolution which was led by the Communist Party of China in the early times such as the former site where Zhu De and Fan Shisheng negotiated and the place where Rucheng Reference was held.
The former site of Zhu De and Fan Shisheng’s Negotiation for Cooperation is located at Jinjiang Village, Chengjiao Township, Rucheng County, Chenzhou City, Hunan Province. It is a compound four two-floor buildings.
It could trace back to the time when Zhu De led troops of the Nanchang Revolution and arrived in Rucheng County, Hunan Province from Chongyi County, Jiangxi Province. After that he held a negotiation for cooperation with Fan Shisheng, the army commander of the Sixteen Troop of the Kuomintang, on November 19, 1927, since they were classmates in Yunnan Army Military School (Jiangwutang) and sworn brothers as well. This facilitated the establishment of the united front against Jiang Jieshi. During the cooperation period, Zhu held Rucheng Reference right here. Experts from the Hunan Provincial Cultural Relics Bureau say that their cooperation was a great support for the success of the Southern Hunan Revolution.
