Hunan Provincial People’s Government approved to set Chenzhou city proper-Zixing City-Guiyang County (CZG) as a provincial-level demonstration area for “Two-oriented Society” construction on June 13. Meanwhile, Chenzhou City is urged to work out a overall plan as well as a reform and construction scheme before applying to the provincial government for examination and approval. This is a significant opportunity for Chenzhou to realize integration of the three places.

In 2010, the CPC Chenzhou Municipal Committee and Chenzhou Municipal People’s Government made the decision to carry out “Two-oriented Society” construction in CZG. From December 2010 to May 2011, Chenzhou has applied to the provincial government successively for developing CZG into a provincial-level demonstration area for “Two-oriented Society” construction under the administration of the “Two-oriented Society” construction pilot area of Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan city cluster.

At present, the city is engaged in formulating the overall plan for building the demonstration area. During the formulation, Chenzhou will highlight its characteristics and mirror its economic development level and mode in a bid to achieve fruitful results.
