As a sub-fair of the 2011 Hunan Chenzhou Modern Service Industry Fair, a real estate development fair was convened on June 15. Mayor of Chenzhou City Xiang Lili attended the fair and made a speech there.

 

It has promoted 143 projects and invited 146 investors to take part in. There are 48 major projects qualified to commence within this year.

 

92 contracts were concluded at the fair, attracting a total of 58.9 billion yuan investment. Among them, 70 municipal projects solicited 44.4 billion yuan investment and 22 county, prefecture and district level projects invited 14.5 billion yuan.

 

This year, the city initiated the 863 program (a government program to stimulate the development of advanced technologies) for the Twelfth Five-Year Plan period (2011-2016), which is designed to make the total investment added up to 800 billion yuan within these years, Xiang introduced.

 

It is expected to expand the central city proper to a 100-square-meter area holding 1 million citizens by the end of 2015, said Xiang, and as a growing third-tier city, Chenzhou is promising in real estate development.
