Executive Vice Governor of Hunan Province and member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee Yu Laishan, investigated Chenzhou City on June 22. He visited in succession the reconstruction project of Chenzhou Avenue (former Chenzhou-Zixing-Guiyang Avenue), the pop-top can production line of Tsingtao Brewery (Chenzhou) in Zixing, Chenzhou Nonferrous Metal Industrial Park (Chenzhou Export Processing Zone) and the Chenzhou International Exhibition Center under construction.

Having listened to the reports on social and economic development of Chenzhou City, Yu Laishan said that recent years have witnessed the best and most rapid development of Chenzhou, and dramatic changes have been made through construction of major projects. He pointed out that Hunan’s development essentially depends on investment and projects. Departments at all levels should implement the spirit of Secretary Zhou Qiang’s speech made during his investigation of major projects in Xiangtan at the beginning of this year, stick to the strategy of promoting scientific development and pushing forward the construction of new-type industrialization, new-type urbanization, agricultural modernization, informatization and the “Two-oriented” Society through projects construction, and propel development mode transformation so as to improve the living standards of urban and rural residents and realize social stability and harmony.
