Suxian District of Chenzhou City has been attaching equal importance to urban construction and industrial development, aiming at pushing forward the latter through the former.

In the past three years, Chenzhou City has attracted an investment of 16 billion yuan in this regard, with its urban area nearly doubled. And six emerging industries of strategic importance have been fostered, namely, electronic information, non-ferrous metals, energy, new building materials, processing and manufacturing as well as fluorine chemical.

According to relevant statistics, Suxian District has launched 130 urban construction projects since 2008 with each exceeding 5 million yuan. Among them, 112 projects have been completed with the total investment hitting 10.5 billion yuan. The urban area has expanded from 7 square kilometers in 2008 to 20 square kilometers currently.
