The 2011 Chenzhou-Taiwan Promotion Symposium was held in the Grand Hotel in Taipei on July 21, 2011.

Chenzhou Mayor Xiang Lili addressed the symposium. Over 100 businessmen present at the symposium promised to attend the Seventh Hunan-Taiwan Exchange and Cooperation Conference on Economy and Trade to be held in Chenzhou this September. Chenzhou and Taipei Association of Travel Agents signed a tourism cooperation agreement.

Mr. Xiang said that in the following five years, Chenzhou will give priority to the implementation of the projects promoted this time, which accord with Chinese mainlands industrial polices and investment guidance and boast huge market prospect and higher  return. He invited Taiwanese to visit relatives and friends, take a tour, make business investigations, and start business in Chenzhou.

At the symposium, officials of the Chenzhou Development and Reform Commission released the citys major investment projects, and chiefs of the Chenzhou Nonferrous Metals Industrial Park (Chenzhou Export Processing Zone) introduced the construction of Taiwan industrial park.

Entrusted with Governor of Hunan Province Xu Shousheng, the economic and trade delegation headed by Xiang visited many local enterprises and associations.
