The work meeting on regulating the order of mining industry and ensuring coal supply for power generation was convened in Chenzhou on August 8, 2011. Dai Daojin, secretary of the CPC Chenzhou Municipal Committee, attended the meeting and delivered a keynote speech.
Mr. Dai stressed that it is an imminent task to regulate the order of mining industry and urged to spare no effort on this work, in a bid to fulfill the goal of "Five Obvious": obvious enhancement of economic development level, obvious optimization of economic structure, obvious increase of urban and rural residents' income, obvious strengthening of social construction and obvious progress of opening and reform.
The whole city must be highly aware of the serious damage caused by over mining to ecology and sustainable development. Illegal behaviors must be ruthlessly cracked down, Dai added.
Dai also called for stronger efforts to overcome the difficulties in ensuring adequate coal supply for power generation in the next stage.
Chenzhou municipal leaders Xiang Shuguang and Liping, chiefs of relevant departments and counties and county-level cities of the city were present at the meeting.
