As one of Chenzhou's historical and cultural blocks, Yuhou Street is now being rebuilt, which is a key project of Chenzhou's infrastructure construction and the only one historical block to be rebuilt.
　　

After reconstruction, blocks of antique houses will replace the old and shabby ones. A waterside terrace will allow visitors to view Chenjiang River's scenery.
　　

The contractor of this project, Xiangshan Investment Group of Hunan Construction and Engineer Group Co., revealed on August 10 that the scenic area is scheduled to be available to the public this National Day. The project covers an area of 175 mu (about 11.67 hectares) with the total investment of about 450 million yuan.
　　

The project involves construction of two towers, one street and one river in the classic style of Ming Dynasty (1368-1644AD) and Qing Dynasty (1636-1911AD), aiming to be such a new scenic area with integrated functions as commercial, housing, entertainment and tourism.
