The Working Conference on Water Conservancy was held by the CPC Chenzhou Municipal Committee recently. Presided over by Chen Haiping, deputy mayor of Chenzhou, the conference aims to make further deployment and mobilization, thus promoting the program of "Water Conservancy Construction Year".

It is requested at the conference that no effort should be spared to carry forward water control and conservancy projects and carry out reform in this regard. Dai Daojin and Xiang Lili, secretary and deputy secretary of the CPC Chenzhou Municipal Committee respectively, attended the meeting and delivered keynote speeches.

Dai urged to attach great importance to the reform and development of water conservancy. Priority should be given to major projects so as to facilitate their development. In addition, efforts should be exerted to mobilize the whole society to contribute to the construction of water conservancy.

Xiang asked the relevant departments to be fully aware of the new situation. Initiatives should be taken to formulate and roll out development plans on Chenzhou's water conservancy in a bid to fulfill the construction tasks at an earlier date.
