From October 11 to 13, Sun Wensheng, member of the Standing Committee of the NPC, visited Chenzhou.

He spoke highly of the achievement the city made in the social and economic development, emphasizing that Chenzhou should take the opportunity to make a new breakthrough from a higher plane. Dai Daojin, secretary of the CPC Chenzhou Municipal Committee, and Xiang Lili, mayor of Chenzhou, accompanied Mr. Sun in the visit.

Mr. Sun and his delegation inspected the urban construction, agriculture industrialization development and project implementation in Chenzhou during the three days. Dai and Xiang introduced the city’s historical transformation and development of transportation and urbanization of in the Chenzhou Planning Exhibition Hall.

The delegation also went to Guiyang County, investigating the modern agriculture and professional cooperation. Hongyun Tobacco Cooperation attracted 1,100 famers. Sun said it is unusual to build such a tobacco growing base in mountain areas and its experience is worth spreading to other places.
