Nearly 7.6 Bln Yuan Invested for Road Construction

It is revealed from the Chenzhou Communications and Transportation Bureau that the city has finished an investment of 7.595 billion yuan to propel the road construction projects during the first three quarters, a growth of 24% compared with that of the same period of last year.

From January to September, Chenzhou injected an investment of 6.61 billion yuan to the construction of four highways, namely, the Xiamen-Chengdu Highway in Chenzhou section, the Hengnan-Linwu (a county in Chenzhou) Highway, the Yizhang (Yizhang County of Chenzhou City)-Fengtoushan Highway and the Yueyang-Rucheng (a county in Chenzhou City) Highway, accounting for 80.1% of the annual goal, among which the Yizhang-Fengtoushan Highway opened to traffic in September this year.

The No.107 National Highway has received an investment of 615 million yuan, up to 67.6% of the annual target of Hunan Province, and has finished 100 kilometers of cement pavements, accomplishing 62.6% of that of the provincial annual target.

The city has also invested 370 million yuan in constructing roads in rural areas, with 376.6 kilometers of county-and-township road and 498.5 kilometers of village road already completed, representing 313.8% and 498.5% of that of the provincial annual target respectively.

Besides, Chenzhou has carried out the Country Link Projects. At present, 564 kilometers are under construction as the preliminary work of this project, taking up 70.7% of the planned 799 kilometers.
