A gala themed as "Mountain Beauty, Yao Music Charm and Ode to Drum" was staged in Yizhang County of Chenzhou City on Oct. 25, celebrating the success of the eight-day 2011 China (Chenzhou) International Tourism and Culture Festival.

It is revealed that the festival attracted 3 million tourists, with the overall tourism income reaching 1.1 billion yuan. 500 investors from home and abroad signed 21 projects there, absorbing over 23 billion yuan of contracted foreign capital.

During the event with the theme of  "A Green and Leisure City", a series of activities were launched, including art performance, sightseeing, adventure expedition, folk experiencing, exhibition and trade negotiations. The counties, county-level cities and districts of Chenzhou also held colorful celebration activities to show the magical glamour and unique culture connotation of this city.
