As of September 30, 2011, the total fiscal revenue of Chenzhou City, Hunan Province has reached 11.089 billion yuan, a growth of 43.6% from last year. The general budget revenue stood at 6.956 billion yuan, increased by 44.2% from a year earlier. The general budget expenditure totaled 12.084 billion yuan, up by 42% year-on-year. The total fiscal revenue of the first nine months this year has exceeded 10 billion yuan for the first time, ranking the second in the province.
In recent years, Chenzhou City has firmly adhered to constructing major projects, parks and zones, and actively guided the development of industrial restructuring, vigorously cultivated new sources of income growth. All these have provided a strong support to the steady and rapid growth of the city's revenue and Chenzhou has gained a lot from these since 2011. From January to September, Chenzhou allocated a special fund of 190 million yuan for the development of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), providing 6.58 million yuan of interest subsidies for small guaranteed loans to business starters and completing secured small loan transaction of 137 million yuan for SMEs through SME credit guarantee companies and small-loan firms.
