Wan Xiaojie, vice-director of the Science and Technological Equipment Department under the State Administration of Coal Mine Safety, led a delegation to inspect the prevention and control of coal mine gas explosions in Jiahe County and Yizhang County, Chenzhou City from Nov. 2 to 6.
As a key national coal-mining city, Chenzhou has 165 coal mines, with 49 of them existing dynamic phenomenon of coal and gas outburst. Among them, 77 are low gas mines, 13 high gas mines and 76 coal and gas outburst mines.
In recent years, Chenzhou has made remarkable achievements in propelling coal mines rectification, expansion of technological renovation and quality standardization in accordance with the state and provincial regulations.
Ding Guoqiang, vice-director of the Provincial Administration of Coal Mine Safety, attended the inspection. Lei Xiaoda, vice mayor of Chenzhou, briefed the inspection group on the work related to the prevention and control of coal mine gas explosion. He also urged the departments at all levels to implement the instructions of the delegation so as to advance the prevention and control work to a new level.
