Rucheng County has made an investment of over 30 million yuan in the recent two years and formulated the Overall Urban Planning of Rucheng County with high standards, laying a solid foundation for the county's new round development. The Xiamen-Chengdu and Hunan-Shenzhen highways now run through the county's 19 towns and villages and over 400 million yuan has been invested in more than 30 urban and rural transportation construction projects, including the extension of the national highway 106 and the provincial highway S32, thus forming a diversified highway system. In addition, it vigorously implemented the strategy of urban expansion with a total investment of more than 3 billion yuan and carried forward the construction of over 20 key projects involving the accumulated investment of over 1 billion yuan so far. Furthermore, it spares no efforts in building an "ecological town", inputting more than 500 million yuan in forestry.
 

 

The smooth going of various plans in Rucheng has attracted investors from many other places. In the recent two years, the county has introduced 178 projects with the total investment reaching more than 10 billion yuan. In the first three quarters this year, its GDP achieved 2,775.48 million yuan; the total financial revenue amounted to 531.88 million yuan, and the growth rate of its economic indicators took the lead over other counties and county-level cities at the junction of Hunan, Guangdong and Guangxi provinces.
