On December 13, the Foreign-invested Projects Administration Office of Hunan Provincial Department of Forestry officially approved seven counties in Chenzhou City to launch the forest restoration and development program. Meanwhile, they obtain a credit of 28 million USD from the World Bank and a fund of 18.5 million yuan from the Hunan Provincial Department of Finance and the Hunan Provincial Department of Forestry.

It is reported that Hunan Province will inject 785.334 million yuan into the six-year forestry development program. The World Bank extended 80 million USD in total to the province with a repayment term of 20 to 25 years and an annual interest of 1.2%.

The project is aimed to propel the reconstruction and restoration of forest in Hunan and provide support and technical services in this regard.
