Hosted by the Hunan Youth Development Foundation of the Communist Youth League and the Department of Publicity of Changsha, Hunan's First Art Exhibition for the Deaf is to commence at Hunan Provincial Museum on May 18. The event will display over 200 pieces of works from 30 deaf artists, some of whom are members of the Hunan Calligraphy Association and the Hunan Artist Association.

According to the curator, the exhibition serves as a platform to demonstrate the abilities of deaf people, and make more people know about their life and care about them.

The deaf artists involved will receive the support and assistance from all social sectors. Changsha Wanshitong Experience Center of Smart Phones intends to present a smart phone to each participant and provide financial support for them in creating art works.
