Zhuzhou Branch passed the inspection and approval by an UAE (United Arab Emirates) natural gas company on July 17, marking the successful trial production of the most advanced railway freight car in the world.

It is revealed that the freight car will be mainly used for transporting sulphur extracted from natural gas. With best comprehensive properties in the world, the axle of this self-discharging freight car weighs 32.5 tons,and its dead weight is 30 tons and carrying capacity 100 tons, which is the biggest of its kind in the world.

The project contract was signed by UAE and the CSR Group last year and the CSR Yangtze Co., Ltd is responsible for R&D. Its trail-produce was launched in May this year with the target to produce 240 hopper cars, which are expected to be delivered to UAE by the end of November this year.
