On July 29, 2012, Beihu District Party Committee and Government of Chenzhou city held the splendid opening ceremony for the ninth music week of Beihu summer in Longnv landscape, which greatly expressed Beihu people’s decisions and strengths on building “five new Beihu”.

The music week of Beihu summer was called South China Cultural Festival of Chenzhou in the earlier days, which was held every two years. Now it is the ninth time and developed to be an integrated cultural brand activity in Beihu district, Chenzhou, which is the largest compared with the earlier ones. 4 months are spent making up 200 programs for 15 performances, which involved 30,000 people.

With the theme of “historic city, beautiful scenery”, this music week is to promote the local tourism culture. There are 4 concentrated performances in Longnv landscape. The opening ceremony expressed the charm of Chenzhou local folks and traditional culture in Chenzhou with beautiful performances.

Municipal leaders: Zhou Yingchun, Li Xiping, Zhang Xihui, Chen Fangmin and Chenzhou military subarea chief of political department- Guo Yusuo were present at the opening ceremony and watched the performances.
