The mobilization meeting of new urban and rural road from Suxian District Paper Mills to Xiangshanping was held on December 16, 2012. Deputy Mayor of Chenzhou City- Shou Jianzhong announced the start of this new project.

It was learned that this new road was one of the main road planning projects of Hunan provincial “twelfth five-year plan” and one of the key projects of Chenzhou transportation construction as well. It is about 13kms long which will be constructed with the secondary road standard. The design speed of the road is 60kms/hour with 12m wide. According to the plan, it will be finished within 2 years. The total investment of it is estimated to be 839.9 million yuan. In addition to national and provincial grant funds, the others are all settled by Chenzhou City financing and Suxian District.

Suxian District Mayor- Peng Shengzhi state that the new project is helpful to optimize the regional highway network, improve Chenzhou city transportation condition, promote regional resource development and boost the overall construction of Suxian urban and rural economy.
