Every March 5 is “Lei Feng Day” and “Chinese Youth Volunteers Service Day”. 2013 happens to be the 50th anniversary of Chairman Mao’s inscription of“learning from comrade Lei Feng”. As a moral example set in people’s heart for years, Lei Feng spirit is kept to be improved in the new era. Following are some news selected from variety volunteer activities of learning from Lei Feng carried out in Chenzhou city.

Different volunteer activities were carried out by different volunteer organizations of Chenzhou city on March 5, 2013. One of the volunteers who was an electronics maintenance engineer stated that he could also upgrade his skills by attending such kind of maintenance volunteer activities. Besides the maintenance, charity clinics, energy saving popularization, and other services were carried out by the volunteer organizations as well.

It was introduced by a volunteer of “Ma Gongzhi Service Team” who was from Law Department of Xiangnan University that they would handle some services as public movie projection, propaganda of travel with good manners, propaganda of consumer right protection, etc. during the weekend and other free time. All the volunteers were benefited a lot from such activities.

Some of the volunteers also stated that Lei Feng spirit should be followed by all people to contribute to the development of society and to build a more beautiful Chenzhou city.
