8 million yuan was donated by Tsingtao Beer Co., Ltd. to assist Ya’an earthquake relief

On April 20,2013, 7.0M earthquake occurred in Ya’an, Sichuan province. All the staffs of Tsingtao Beer Company were highly concerned of the disaster and tried their best to do something to the people in the disaster area.

After confirming all the colleagues in Sichuan province were safe, an emergency aid was carried out in Tsingtao Beer Company to donate 8 million yuan to Ya’an. At the meantime, the donation activities were handled by the company staffs. “Tsingtao beer psychological assistance for earthquake area project” was kept carrying on as well.
Advocated with the concept of “value of people is higher than value of things, and value of society is higher than value of enterprise”, the Secretary of Party Group and Vice Chairman of Tsingtao Beer Company- Wangfan stated that: “Tsingtao will keep supporting Ya’an people to get through this disaster.”

Li Ran- Senior Vice Chairman of Qingdao Red Cross said: “Tsingdao Beer Company is a caring and socially responsible company. The psychological assistance special funds set by the company of Wenchuan earthquake was an innovative and significant way. Now, such kind behavior was carried out by the company again to help Ya’an people, the Red Cross will try best to make the best usage of the donation. ”
