Special interview with the investigation group members of DRC-Stanford Student Association

“It was purposely to get some ideas of the investment condition of Chenzhou city and look for some cooperation chances with Chenzhou city by this investigation trip.” said Wang Lingdao- Director and CEO of Shanghai Investment and Development Co., Ltd. on August 24, 2013 when the reporters took a special interview with him concerning for this investigation.

Shanghai Investment and Development Co., Ltd. was founded in the early of 2010, focusing on county economy development and investment. It was mainly on the research and exploration of urbanization, especially on the comprehensive design orientation, investment and management of new urban counties.

Wang said that the key point their company concerned was the development of urbanization. Though a rapid speed of urbanization was achieved by new urban counties, they were still with weak service supports, such as the poor nightlife entertainments. If there would be more urbanization functional service areas available in the new urban towns, an upgrading of consumption, living condition and town image would be improved there accordingly.

Wang presented his suggestions on how to upgrade the functional issues of the county. Urbanization functional service areas should be established to improve the urban infrastructure services, enhance its overall undertaking capacity, set up industrial clustering platform, provide more job vacancies and increase people’s income level. With those achievements, urban domestic demand and urban tourism consumption would be stimulated accordingly to optimize people’s living condition.

Wang had been to Rucheng county, Chenzhou city in 1987 and was impressed with its unique hot spring culture.
