Xiang Lili led a delegation to investigate the modern farm construction in Yunnan province

It was reported that Xiang Lili- Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee led a delegation to investigate the modern farm construction in Yunnan province from August 25 -27, 2013. Xiang stated that more good experience should be learned from Yunnan province to solve the problems hindered on the way of Chenzhou city’s modern farm construction and try to improve it to be with unique Chenzhou features. Liu Hesheng- Deputy Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee accompanied Xiang with this investigation trip.

According to the decision figured out in the second session of Chenzhou Municipal Planning Commission, an upgrading development of suburb ecological leisure farm would be carried out along Chenzhou avenue, G107 national road and Huaiwan road, which was a great chance for central leisure farm industry. It was purposely to get more experience from Hunan province to promote the further development of Chenzhou modern farm.

In recent years, focusing on the establishment of agricultural brands with plateau features, a modern far economical development model was explored in Yunnan province, and about 100 modern fine farms were planned to be built around the province. Due to this sound plan, Yunnaneconomy was promoted well accordingly. Xiang’s delegation visited Chongming Modern Agricultural Technology Demonstration Park, Shilin Taiwan Farmers Park, Chengjiang Yuxi Villa, and Yangzonghai Urban Ecological Villa.

During their trip on YunnanChongming Modern Agricultural Technology Demonstration Park, all the delegation members were attracted by the plateau feature agricultural products. It was introduced that this demonstration park has been fulfilled the 30 square meters overall planning and 7 projects planning to forge some demonstration areas as Yunnanfeatured agriculture demonstration area, Yunnan farming cultural area, etc. There were some advantages for the promotion of all those projects, such as the 15 minutes economical circle around Kunming international airport, 30 minutes economical circle around Kunming main urban area, ecological features, etc. It was planned to establish the city farm with the functions of production demonstration, technological research and development, agricultural leisure tourism, etc.

Chengjiang Yuxi Villa was a typical example for modern farm economy with its featured industries in the area with rich natural and human cultural resources. Till now, it has been upgraded from primary industry to tertiary industry successfully. Organic tobacco, vegetables, fruits, flowers, and other greening products were impressed the delegation members with a vigorous image of the villa. At the mean time, the members got more understanding of its management, construction concept, development model, application of high-tech, ecological planting of crops, etc..

As a "national agricultural industrialization demonstration base", "national agricultural technology park", Shilin Taiwan Farmers Park followed its development concept to carry out the construction as an international agricultural logistics center, modern agricultural technology development center, modern agricultural demonstration base and leisure travel health resort. All the delegation members were excited to visit there, obtaining helpful experience to improve Chenzhou city’s modern farms.

On the way of their investigation of the farms, Xiang shared his ideas with all the delegation members and pointed out that it was an important way to promote the upgrading of the transformation of agriculture industry, ecological condition of city and charm of human culture by developing modern farms. On the other hand, the development of modern farms was a key point concerned for overall development of urban and rural areas. So, more efforts should be placed on the construction of modern farm in Chenzhou city.

Xiang also stated that the experience learned from this investigation trip of Yunnanshould be applied to the development of Chenzhou city on the basis of Chenzhou local advantages and features. More innovative models and unified planning should be figured out to carry out modern farm construction, especially to establish Chenzhou local ecological farm brand.
