It was learned from Chenzhou Forest Fire Control Office that no forest fire happened during Qingming festival in Chenzhou city.

Qingming festival is the priority period for fire control every year. In order to ensure the safety of this year, a special supervision group was formed to randomly check the fire control work handled out by 11 districts and counties’s forest fire control office and 60 towns and villages. 21 problems were founded and asked to rectify in specified period. Some contemporary checking stations were formed in the exit of forest zone, landscape, cemetery and other key sections. The tomb-sweeping people’s belongs were strictly checked to limit the risk of forest fire.

According to the data, 9853 staffs were on duty during the festival to work on the 1340 checking stations. 69,793 people and 6,383 cars were registered to enter the forest. At the meantime, some fireworks, papers and candles used to tomb-sweeping were collected by the stations. In order to reinforce the propaganda of fire control during this festival, some notices, fire control brochures, posters, short messages, billboards were set or delivered publicly, which greatly helped to upgrade people’s awareness on fire control and ensure all fire control measures to be implemented well.
