It was purposely to check Chenzhou city’s development of export-oriented economy

It was reported that Xu Xiangping- Minister of Hunan Provincial Department of Commerce visited Chenzhou city on May 20, 2014 to check its development of export-oriented economy. Xu stated that Chenzhou city should accelerate its work on the construction of platform and play well role on its advantages of resource to promote the improvement of open economy and upgrade to be the bridgehead of Hunan province export-oriented economy. Xiang Lili- Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Qu Hai- Deputy Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Chenzhou City accompanied Xu with this investigation.

In 2014, the total fixed assets investment of Chenzhou city hit 147.41billion yuan with an increase of 34.2%. 377 projects on transportation construction, industrial transfer and upgrading of city were with over 100million yuan investment respectively, accounting to 49.15billion yuan in total. The total foreign trade value hit $3.788billion with an increase of 36.5%. The actual use of foreign investment was amounted to $1.018billion with an increase of 35.7%.

Xu Xiangping visited Xiangnan International Logistic Park and learned that some construction work on customs building, bonded warehouse, container yard, road, and etc. for the joint supervision zone of Chenzhou railway port have been fulfilled and were opened to public last year. Along with these sound work, a customs clearance mode as “one-time declaration, one-time supervision and one-time discharging”was formed in Chenzhou city. Xu said it was significant for further promotion of Chenzhou city’s undertaking industrial transfer and export-oriented economy to finish the joint transportation project. Further improvement on the platform should be handled out by Chenzhou city to well play its function, decrease the logistic cost and promote the export-oriented economy.

Xu and his team visited Chenzhou Highway Port, Delta Electronic Group, exhibition center of Chenzhou High-tech Industrial Park, Jinwang Bismuth Company, and some other places to check their operation condition and development of export-oriented economy.

Xu said Chenzhou city was with sound industrial base and platform advantage, so its export-oriented economy was promoted well. Chenzhou city should well play the advantages to improve the platforms construction, such as non-ferrous metal exchange platform, comprehensive service platform of foreign trade, and etc. Xu expressed his expectation that Chenzhou city’s processing trade and general trade can hit ten billion yuan within 3 years and it can be upgraded as the bridgehead of Hunan province export-oriented economy.
