It was reported that an agreement on new energy auto manufacturing base was signed between Guangdong Zhuhai Maoda Auto Industrial Co., Ltd. and Chenzhou Economic and Development Zone on August 6, 2014. In the morning of August 7, 2014, Xiang Lili- Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee met Zheng Pengfei- Board Director of Maoda Auto Industrial Co., Ltd. and discussed the cooperation details with them.

Zhuhai Maoda Auto Industrial Co., Ltd. which is a qualified manufacturing and marketing enterprise of electric-business vehicle, sedan car, SUV and passenger cars mainly operates the businesses of the design, manufacturing, change, and marketing of cars. It obtained the core auto technology of electric-auto's "dual power driving" tech. The company planned to build Maoda new energy auto manufacturing base in Chenzhou Economic and Development Zone. That project covered with 1050mu lands and 2billion yuan investment, which was with the annual production capacity of 50,000 new energy cars. It would be operated by three phases and estimated to be finished and fully placed to operation in 2018. The first phase of the project would be launched soon and could be placed to operation in the end of 2015. It was learned that this was the first auto manufacturing project available in Chenzhou city.

Xiang Lili said new auto project met the state's industrial policy well which was the key supporting project of the state and the key undertaking industrial project of Chenzhou city as well. Chenzhou city paid great attention on the introduction of this project and would try best to promote its construction. Xiang also expressed his willing to Maoda company to operate the project sooner and placed the capitals to proceed its development.

Zheng Pengfei stated that the company visited Chenzhou city in early of this July and was attracted by the sound traffic location and development condition of Chenzhou city, do they decided to settle down the manufacturing base there. Zheng confirmed that the company would launch the project at the soonest time and try to finish it sooner.
