Due to the good weather during 2014 Mid-Autumn Festival, much more people went out for travelling. According to the data shown by Chenzhou Tourism and Foreign Affairs Bureau , 459,400 visitors came to Chenzhou city to enjoy their festival with an increase of 22.6%. 346,500 visitors were for one-day tour, accounting for per capita expense of 401.2yuan, and 112,900 visitors were for 2-day or multi-day tour, accounting for per capita expense of 612.4yuan. The comprehensive tourism income hit 265million yuan, up 26.19%. 35,000 visitors and 30,200 visitors went to Dongjiang lake landscape and Mount Mang National Forest Park.

At the meantime, hotel, retailing, catering, entertainment, wedding and other industries were hot during this festival, which helped to keep rapid increase of tourism industry’s economic indexes. It was founded that the rate of self-driving were with rapid growth during this festival, so no matter where you went, rows of cars were being driven on the way. Different kinds of activities were promoted by the leisure villas in rural areas to attract the urban residents and visitors gathered there. Fishing, enjoying moon by ship, and other interesting activities were available in Lexian villa of Suxian district. Planting vegetables, riding bike, and some others events could be enjoyed in some villas of Guiyang county. Many visitors from Guangdong province, HK, Macau, Changsha city, Xiangtan city, and etc. drove to Suxianling, Mount Mang, Dongjiang lake, and some other key landscapes of Chenzhou city. According to the data, 40% of the total amount of visitors to Chenzhou city chose self-driving.

Furthermore, some special offers were provided by the landscapes to attract more visitors. Take Dongjiang lake landscape for example, an offer for middle autumn day- teachers’ day was released on this festival. Teachers who traveled around Dongjiang lake in the day of Middle Autumn day were with 50% discount for A line and 24% discount for B line. If teachers went to Dongjiang lake in the Teachers’ day, they can enjoy themselves for free in A line. Concerned for Suxianling landscape, all visitors were with 5yuan discount if they went to Suxianling after 7:00p.m. in the Middle Autumn day. Such special offer attracted many citizens to enjoy their night in the peak of Suxianling.
