National non-ferrous and precious metals quality inspection center which was under preparation was passed the “three-in-one” review organized by CNCA

It was reported that the experts of“three-in-one”review group which was organized by CNCA carried out a two-day “three-in-one”(CMA, CAL and CNAS) on-site review for national non-ferrous and precious metals quality inspection center. Highly evaluation was given by the experts for the center’s technical capacity, team construction, scientific research capacity, operation condition and influence, and etc.

It was introduced that according to the demands of the development of Hunan non-ferrous metals industry, sustainable economy and two-oriented society construction, the construction project of national non-ferrous and precious metals quality inspection center was specified by both Hunan provincial and Chenzhou municipal governments and was listed into the outline of both Hunan provincial and Chenzhou municipal “twelfth five-year plan”. Hunan provincial non-ferrous and precious metals quality inspection center was approved to be set in Chenzhou city by Hunan Provincial Bureau of Quality Supervision in January, 2010. The State Bureau of Quality Supervision approved to prepare to build national non-ferrous and precious metals quality inspection center on the basis of Chenzhou Product Quality Supervision and Inspection Institute in last August.

In order to upgrade the market competitiveness and international influence of Chenzhou city’s non-ferrous metals industry, “implementation comments on accelerating the construction of Chenzhou city’s non-ferrous metals ‘five-one’strategic system” (short for “the comments”) was released by Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Chenzhou Government in last September. It was planned to cultivate a batch of brand enterprises, build a national quality inspection center, issue a price index, build a trading platform and build an exhibition platform.
As required on “the comments”, the national non-ferrous and precious metals quality inspection center should be constructed to be a technology authority with the functions of inspection, scientific research, standards setting and service. It should be relying on the technology and select current international advanced inspection devices and methods to ensure the inspection level to be in a leading place in domestic and in advanced place internationally. It should research and inspect non-ferrous and precious metals, including 8 precious metals as gold, silver and 5 species of platinum group metals and 11 heavy metals, all of which covers 95% species of the precious and heavy metals. It should cover the provinces and cities in south, central, east and southwest China into its range of inspection areas. It should establish the authorities of national non-ferrous precious metals quality inspection center, national non-ferrous precious metals standards setting (revision) center, and national non-ferrous metals scientific research center successfully till 2015.

As introduced by relative principal of the national non-ferrous precious metals quality inspection center that the center was estimated to be opened to public in one month under the name of national non-ferrous precious metals quality inspection center. The principal also stated that in earlier time, all disputes concerned for the products quality occurred in the non-ferrous industry’s enterprises of Chenzhou city and other cities around should be submitted to Beijing to test the samples. “The price of non-ferrous metals fluctuate frequently. Sending samples to Beijing to test not only waste the money, but waste time to seize best trading chance at best price level. From now on, we can settle the disputes in Chenzhou in short time.”

National quality inspection center is an accelerator for promoting local economic development. Plus national graphite products quality inspection center, there are two national level quality inspection centers available in Chenzhou city now.
