It was learned from the management committee of Chenzhou High-tech Industrial Zone that it was approved to be national high-tech industry development zone by the State Council. It was the first national level high-tech zone and named as Chenzhou High-tech Industry Development Zone.

In recent years, followed the decisions and arrangement figured out by Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Chenzhou Government, and focused on the targets of establishment of national high-tech zone, construction of “one-billion-yuan industrial zone” and construction of “a new city of Chenzhou”, Chenzhou High-tech Industrial Zone freed the minds, and tried firstly and hardly to fight against difficulties and problems. With all their efforts, its economy and society turned out the sound trend of comprehensive and sustainable development, and it also popularized its brand, created its development speed and showed its image, all of which helped it successfully enrolled into the list of top level industrial zone of Hunan province.

Currently, there are over 470 enterprises settled down in Chenzhou High-tech Industrial Zone. Non-ferrous metal new material, electronics information, advanced device manufacturing, modern service industry, and etc. are its leading industries. Some innovative entrepreneurship platforms and incubators as Chenzhou Strategic Emerging Industry Incubator Base, Undergraduates’ Innovative Entrepreneurship Base, and etc. are available there. In 2014, the total revenue of technology, industry and trade of Chenzhou High-tech Industrial Zone hit 108.18billion yuan with an increase of 35.65%, covering 76.5% of the total output value of the above scale industries. In 2015, Chenzhou High-tech Industrial Zone would implement “the third time of entrepreneurship” with the main line of innovation, which was purposely to reach higher level, better effectiveness, higher quality and sustainable and healthy development, and try to be modern industrial zone with influence nationwide, top quality of Hunan province and leading role on Chenzhou new industrial development.
