Recently, the leading group office of Hunan province’s promotion of new industrialization and Hunan Economy and Information Commission released the list of 2015 ten landmark innovation results of Hunan manufacturing industry together. “The new technology of oxygen enrichment both side-blown smelting for bismuth materials” which was innovated by Chenzhou Jinwang Bismuth Company was enrolled into the list.

It was learned that the ten innovative technologies were selected from a large number projects of manufacturing industry of Hunan province by professional experts, which represented the highest innovation level of Hunan province and can play leading role on promoting the development of manufacturing industry.

In 2012, Hunan Jinwang Bismuth Co., Ltd. placed the investment on building the largest recycling base of bismuth resources of China- Xianxi Plant which is mainly on researching and developing the first “oxygen enrichment both side-blown smelting technology” of the world. Thanks to this technology, it is capable to smelt the bismuth by with oxygen enrichment technology efficiently. It also increases the recycling rate of bismuth that decreases the content of bismuth in the wastes from 0.5-1% to less than 0.05%; upgrades the production efficiency to 80tons/square meters compared with traditional reverberator’s 1ton/square meter; decreases the energy consumption from 400kgs coal/ton to 90kgs coal/ton; and helps to save the energy and protect environment by using the off-gas to produce vitriol.

This new technology will play great influence on current bismuth industry and upgrade the industrial technology. It was also awarded with the first prize of scientific-technical progress by China’s Non-ferrous Industry Association.
