When reporters arrived at Sanhe village, Huatang town, Beihu District, Chenzhou city on April 9, 2016, they were impressed by the beautiful rural spring image- clean and tidy village, uniform houses, tall and dense ancient trees, flooded visitors, and etc. It was introduced that more than 6000 visitors were received by the village during this Qingming Festival. 

In recent years, Beihu district took the best advantages of its natural and human resources to improve beautiful rural construction and promote the development of rural popular tourism. As introduced by Ouyang Jianhu who is the secretary of the district that the key point for the district’s promotion of rural popular tourism is for improving the development of rural area and enriching local farmers by playing the best role of local natural and cultural resources. The government placed great efforts on improving beautiful rural construction, upgrading infrastructures as rural roads, public bus, sanitary, clean water, sports, and etc., regulating rural housing, and carrying rural environment treatment and ecological construction.

At the meantime, different models as department support, enterprise sponsorship, investment attraction, villagers’ self-funding, and etc. were handled out by the district, which greatly helped to improve the development of “five golden flowers” as Shishantou, Huayuan, Sanhe, Tashui, and Xiaobu village with sound integration of rural village and tourism. Demonstration area for overall development of urban and rural areas along Chenzhou Avenue, high-end water ecological scenic belt along Xihe river, and other projects are being handled out by the district. Currently, more than 200 rural scenic spots are available there. According to the statistic, 6.169million tourists were received by the district in 2015, contributing 4,17billion yuan tourism comprehensive revenue, up 20%. The district was also established to be national demonstration area of leisure agriculture and rural tourism, while Aishang Sanhe Green Farm to be national demonstration point of leisure agriculture and rural tourism.

In 2016, Beihe district will undertake first China Hunan (Chenzhou) International Beautiful Rural Ecology Leisure Tourism Festival. It introduced some strategic investors as China Grand Enterprises Group to place 1.92billion yuan on the construction of 20 projects as China Chenzhou International Rally Base, folk street, Grand holiday resort, and etc. Once finished, rural tourism of Beihu district will be improved to a higher stage.
