Yi Pengfei was tidying up the ribbon on flower basket
It was reported that Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Chenzhou Government held public memorial ceremony for revolutionary martyrs and 80th anniversary of the Red Army’s Long March on September 30, 2016 in East Power Martyrs Park. Yi Pengfei- Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee attended the ceremony. Qu Hai- Deputy Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Chenzhou City hosted the ceremony.
The ceremony was launched along with the majestic national anthem. After some young pioneers singing the song “We are the Communist Successors”, Yi Pengfei, some other leaders and representatives from society offered the flowers to revolutionary martyrs and cherished the great achievements gained by them.
Yi said it was purposely to cherish the memories of revolutionary martyrs and carry forward the spirit of the Long March by handling the public memorial ceremony. All departments should carry on the revolutionary traditions and devote to the construction of “New Chenzhou” and establishment of “new increasing pole” of Hunan province.
Yi Pengfei said Chenzhou is a red land with the revolutionary traditions. Many ancestors contributed their lives on the Chinese liberation.
On the Long March, the Red Army fought extremely hard on Chenzhou city against the enemies. All those memories are treasures for Chenzhou city.
Yi stated that from the establishment of Chinese People’s Republic, especially the reform and opening up, Chenzhou people tried great efforts on improving the development of society and economy and gained gorgeous achievements.
Yi said the spirit of revolutionary martyrs is the powerful spirit for Chenzhou people. We should carry on the spirit to handle the construction of “New Chenzhou” and establishment of “new increasing pole”, and then grant our successors with a prosperous future.
After the ceremony, the attendees visited the Xiangnan Uprising Memorial Hall and memorized the achievements of revolutionary ancestors by visiting the exhibition of 80th anniversary of the Red Army’s Long March.
