It was reported that “2016 China Forest Tourism Festival- Changbai Mountain International Ecological Forum” which was sponsored by the State Forestry Bureau and Jilin Government was held on Changbai Mountain, Jilin Province from September 24-26, 2016. An awarding ceremony for 12 new approved “national forest park” in 2015 was held on the meeting.

It was learned that Jiahe County placed great efforts on the establishment of national forest park from 2013. It got official reply from the State Forestry Bureau in last December, which indicated that its establishment work was fulfilled successfully. 

In this June, Jiahe county figured out “General Plan for Hunan Jiahe National Forest Park” which was passed the review of experts group of Hunan Forestry Department early this August. It was estimated to be approved in middle this October, once approved, it will be proceeded to the tangible construction stage.

From today on, Jiahe National Forest Park becomes a comprehensive tourism resort where visitors can enjoy landscapes, folk cultures, religions, and leisure time, as well as the “green lung” and “urban oxygen bar”. It is significant for promoting the sound development of its forest tourism industry and transformation and upgrading of its county economy.
