It was reported that recently a signing ceremony was held between Guiyang Government and CGN Wind Energy Limited Hunan Branch, Sino Hydro Renewable Energy Co., Ltd., Sany Group, Chenzhou Huali Wind Energy Co., Ltd., and Hunan Lantian New Energy Co., Ltd.

5 wind power projects which were settled on this ceremony are as follow: third section of Guiyang Qinglan Wind Power Project, Yangshi Wind Power Project, Tuanjie & Liuhe Wind Power Project, Qinghe Wind Power Project, and Guiyang Distributed Wind Power Project, amounting to 3.5billion yuan in total. That signing ceremony indicated that Guiyang County reached new improvement on the development of wind power.

Guiyang county is located in the hinterland of Wuling Mountain. There are over 60kms “blast zone” with the speed of 6m-7m/second available in the county. The effective time for the utilization of wind power is over 2000hours and the developable wind power resources are one million kilowatts. In recent years, followed the idea of green development, transformation development, and improvement of strong county of new energy, Guiyang County played the best advantages of resources and fully promoted the development of new energy industry. Its wind power industry was being improved greatly. In 2007, Central South Investigation and Design Institute was introduced into the county to handle the exploration of wind power resources in the county. In the same year, both two parties signed the agreement on development of wind power. From 2010, series wind power stations as Luhejin, Tiantangshan, Qiaoshi (Shuiyuan), Qinglan, and etc. were established in the county. It played a leading role on the development of wind power projects in Hunan Province.

Currently, there are 19 wind power stations are available in the county, including the one finished, being under construction, and being on preparation. Over 1.3billion kilowatts hours electricity were generated by the stations. Total investments for all the projects are amounted to 8 billion yuan. The 4 wind power stations as Lujinhe, Qiaoshi, Laixi, and Tiantangshan which have been finished are with the installation capacity of 176,000kilowatts. Over one billion kilowatts hours electricity have been generated by the stations, contributing over 600million yuan sales revenue. It helps to save 335,000tons of coals.
