The communication conference between Chenzhou City and China Communications Construction Co., Ltd. was held on Oct. 20, 2016. The two parties shared their ideas on the cooperation of infrastructures, industrial projects, and etc. Liu Xiangdong who is the Deputy Secretary and Secretary of Discipline Inspection Commission of China Communications Construction Co., Ltd. and Yi Pengfei- Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee attended the conference and delivered speeches there. Qu Hai- Deputy Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Chenzhou City hosted the conference.

China Communications Construction Co., Ltd. is a limited company which was reformed by China Communications Group- merged by China Roads and Bridges Group and China Harbor Group which were subordinate to former Ministry of Communications. It is mainly on the businesses of investigation, design, construction, and supervision of highways, bridges, ports, docks, waterways, railways, tunnels, civil items, and other infrastructures, investment of transportation infrastructures, development and operation of city complexes, real estate, and etc. Over 60 wholly owned companies and holding companies of it handle its businesses in 135 countries and regions of the world. Chenzhou City keeps close relationship with China Communications Construction Co., Ltd. Chenzhou Road Construction Mechanic Plant which was established in 1969 is its exclusive secondary company established in Hunan Province by now. Currently, the company is under the transformation and upgrading stage. China Communications Construction Co., Ltd. kept placing investments on the projects of Chenzhou City in recent years.

Liu Xiangdong stated that compared with 20 years ago when he first came to Chenzhou City, now it is being improved greatly with sound investment condition and development potential. Liu stated that China Communications Construction Co., Ltd. is willing to work together with Chenzhou City on some areas as highways, civil projects, utility tunnels, airport and aviation projects, rail transit, development and operation of city complexes, real estate, sponge city, smart city, and etc. Liu suggested that two parties can sign “strategic cooperation agreement” in right time and establish long term communication mechanism and platform via this high-end docking.

Yi expressed his warm greetings to the top management level investigation team of China Communications Construction Co., Ltd. and highly appreciated their supports on improving the development of Chenzhou City. Yi said: “in the following five years, Chenzhou City will focus on the targets of improving the development of ‘New Chenzhou’, establishing ‘new increasing pole of Hunan Province’, and fulfilling the construction of well-off society, and follow the general strategy of ‘keeping leading role of industry, improving overall development’.” He hoped that China Communications Construction Co., Ltd. can keep supporting Chenzhou City and reach deeper cooperation on infrastructure construction and industrial development during “13th five-year plan” period.
