Followed the ideas of “five concepts of development”, Guiyang county tried great efforts on transportation, improvement of urban and rural condition, development of industries, environmental protection, overall development of urban and rural areas, and etc., which greatly improved the comprehensive undertaking capacity and radiation capacity of towns and counties and upgraded the image and living condition of Guiyang County greatly.

The county figured out the general planning of land utilization and general planning of towns and counties, and confirmed the development pattern of “one core, one area, three belts, and five points” concerned for the urban and rural development. Currently, the planning population and lands covered into the central downtown are 0.4million people and 40 square kilometers respectively, 0.28million people and 25 square kilometers of which are for built-up area.

The county kept the priority of the development of supporting functions and paid balance attention on reconstruction & upgrading and the comprehensive development of new area. Its comprehensive undertaking capacity was improved effectively via carrying out some special actions as three-year battle, 8 actions for the urban management, and etc. In recent five years, it placed about 7billion yuan on series administrative construction projects, including 10 new road, upgrading and reconstruction of old urban roads and backstreets, fitness center, bus stations, and some other public facilities. Lvyuanchun low rent housing, Jinhuang pipe gas, Dongjiang diversion, and some other projects benefit local people with favorable profits.
