Recently, the author learned from the Provincial Agricultural Commission that the selection result of 2016 annual provincial beautiful countryside came out and 6 villages in our city were rated as the provincial beautiful countryside construction model villages. The 6 villages included that the Bagongfen village of Yangtang town Yongxing county, Yuantian village of Jinzixian town Anren county, Jinshan village of Tuqiao town Rucheng county, Chennan village of Sandu town Zixing county, Tanghuli village of Yiliu town Yizhang county, Jindong village of Oujiang town Guidong county. Beihu area and Zixing city won the advanced area city of provincial new rural construction. Our city is one of the cities and counties which received the two honors in 2016.

In recent years, our city adhered to the development concept of innovation, coordination, green, open and sharing, in accordance with general requirement of the "planning science, production development, well-off life, rural civilization, village clean, democratic management, livable industry", in order to comprehensively build a well-off society as a whole, to co-ordinate urban and rural development as the goal, to standardize the villagers to build housing as the starting point, our city further promoted the new rural construction project of "ten cities, hundreds towns and thousands villages", strived to build the rural pattern of "Five beauties", including the layout beauty, industry beauty, environment beauty，life beauty and fashion beauty, and actively explored the beautiful countryside construction road with Chenzhou characteristics.

In the beautiful rural construction, our city was effort to promote the "Three rules" integration of the national economic and social development planning, land use planning and urban master planning and was the first to achieve full coverage of village planning in the first. The blank villages without collective economic income were eliminated from all administrative villages, the number of professional cooperatives was up to 4922, the total ranks was the second in the province and the quantity of leisure farms was reached to 1780. Implemented the improvement of urban and rural environment at the same time, put forth effort to improve rural production and living conditions and 100% of the towns and counties and 96% of the administrative villages had cement roads. Started the implementation of clean rural action, and comprehensively promoted the rural purification, lighting, greening, landscaping，and ordering. Comprehensively regulated the villagers to build housing, and vigorously carried out the project of rural housing construction "5553". Put forth effort to cultivate rural civilization, strengthened the construction of rural cultural positions, improved the rural social assistance system; Carried forward the rural civilized fashion, the development of civilized villages and towns, civilized families, ten star farmers and other activities.

Up to now, our city has built 37 of provincial new villages and the model villages of beautiful countryside construction, 181 of municipal new village model villages and beautiful villages and 14 of municipal beautiful towns and counties.
