On February 28, the city's petition work conference was held in Chenzhou People's Visiting Reception Center. The conference reviewed and summarized our city's petition work of 2016 and arranged and deployed the relevant work of 2017.

The reporters learned at the conference that our city input 5414 batches and 13542 person-times of visitors through the petition information system in 2016, an increase of 19% and flat on person-time. At the same time, 85 visitors which were in the process of handling, and were transferred and assigned, 886 letters and 973 online complaints and leader mailboxes were handled. A total of 11260 letters, visits and online petitions from the masses were handled in whole city. The online complaints gradually became to the main channels of mass petition. The petition situation of our city was stable and controllable and was awarded the advanced city of 2016 province's petition work. The Municipal Letters and Complaints Bureau and Guidong Letters and Complaints Bureau were awarded the advance units of 2010-2015 petition work.

The conference also assigned the city's key petition events on the spot. The conference required to promote the legal system and the construction of the petition overall situation and ensure the petition overall situation not to get off track; improve the ability to solve problems timely and make full use of information technology to ensure the city's petition order be stable and controllable; be willing to sacrifice, strengthen the protection to ensure the healthy development of the petition team.
