On March 1, the reporter learned from the city's education work conference that 15290 new quotas would be offered in the center city of Chenzhou in 2017.

It was understood that in 2017, Chenzhou would enhance the overall level of the region to fundamentally ban the "craze for choosing top school" through strengthening the teachers and standardizing the admission management; would implement the action plan to solve the problem of big classes to ensure that the city would basically have eliminated the big classes which contain more than 66 students next year and eliminated the big classes which more than 56 students by 2020; would establish 188 of compulsory education standardization teaching points and build 344 sets of the rural teacher turnover dormitories, to improve the rural school conditions; would vigorously build state-owned kindergartens, support inclusive private kindergartens, and expand the proportion of state-owned and inclusive private kindergartens, to solve the problem of "kindergarten crunch and kindergarten expensive".

The conference required that we should fully realize that giving priority to the development of education is an urgent need to implement the central decision-making, is an urgent need to adapt to the economic and social development of Chenzhou, and is an urgent need of the masses for quality education. We should find out the key points, plan in entirety the balanced development of education, accelerate the reform of education and teaching, strengthen the building of teachers, improve the level of education services, and improve people's livelihood and security.
