On the morning of August 9, the Development Planning Forum of South Graphite New Materials Co., Ltd. was held. China Building Material Group, Provincial Science and Technology Department, Hunan University and the leaders of Chenzhou City gathered together to communicate on promoting the planning and construction of South Graphite advanced institute of carbon materials and the development of the graphite industry to seek cooperation and development.

In the "13th Five-Year" period, the South Graphite planned to invest 4.8 billion yuan to accelerate the deep processing project of microcrystalline graphite step by step. According to the company planning, the South Graphite will focus on the construction of high-carbon graphite purification project, the construction of the South Graphite advanced (new) carbon materials research institute, 200,000 tons export base project, high purity graphite purification project with an annual output of 100,000 tons and ultra-pure graphite project. They will focus on the research and development of energy storage materials, industrial materials, composites, grapheme preparation and applications.

Chairman of China Building Materials Group and Party Secretary Song Zhiping talked about the development of Chenzhou and the ideas of deepening cooperation with Chenzhou and accelerating the development of graphite industry. Song Zhiping said that Chenzhou is a good place for innovation and entrepreneurship, and it is very exciting and encouraged that Chenzhou municipal Party committee and municipal government paid attention to the graphite industry. To accelerate the development of graphite and new materials industry development, we must have the support of government, the background of large enterprises and integrated innovation, make clear goals and implement plans step by step. China Building Materials Group will go all out to make big graphite and build a global leading graphite industry project group through 3 to 5 years or even longer period of time.

Deputy Inspector of Hunan Science and Technology Department Liu Tiebing and Hunan University Vice President Liu Jinsui combined their actual work to put forward the suggestions on the development of the graphite industry starting from the actual situation in Chenzhou. They believed that Chenzhou should integrate the resources, and focus on R & D innovation and industrial development, and the combination of economic and ecological benefits. Hunan Science and Technology Department and Hunan University will continue to support the development of graphite industry in Chenzhou, increase support in the project, platform, talent and other aspects, actively promote the construction of the South Graphite advanced (new) carbon materials research institute, accelerate the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, and boost the transformation and development of Chenzhou.

Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee Secretary and Director of the Municipal People's Congress Yi Pengfei expressed his gratitude to everyone for their constant attention, care and support for the development of Chenzhou. Yi Pengfei said that Chenzhou has always attached great importance to the development of graphite and new material industry, as the city's five key industries during "13th Five-Year" to support.

Yi Pengfei said that in order to seek new development, Chenzhou must focus on the transformation and upgrading of the graphite industry; in order to achieve transformation and upgrading of graphite industry, Chenzhou must closely rely on technological R & D and technological innovation; in order to achieve the industrialization and achievement of the technological innovation in the graphite industry, Chenzhou must strengthen the cooperation among enterprises, institutions and governments, and truly promote the integration of production, study and research; Chenzhou municipal Party committee and the municipal government will make every effort to support the construction, research and development of the advanced (new) carbon materials research institute, and build the national key research institute of carbon materials through joint efforts.

The forum was presided over by Liu Zhiren who is the Deputy Secretary and Mayor of Chenzhou Municipal Committee. Vice Presidents of China Building Materials Co., Ltd.
