On July 6, Huang Jiangping, President of Chenzhou Aier Eye Hospital, who participated in the 20th batch of medical team members from China (Hunan) to assist Sierra Leone, successfully completed a one-year medical assistance to Africa, and returned with honor. His colleagues warmly welcomed him home at Chenzhou West Railway Station.

On June 19, last year, President Huang Jiangping accompanied the 20th batch of Sierra Leone Medical Team of China (Hunan) to assist Sierra Leone, who was the only member of the team from a private hospital and the only ophthalmologist in the team. Over the past year, in the far African Continent, Huang Jiangping has overcome the difficulties of shortage of local medicine, inconvenience of communication and multiple infectious diseases. Relying on Sino-Serbian Friendship Hospital, he has trained local ophthalmologists and nurses, carried out free eye screening activities and completed more than 120 eye operations. He has successfully completed the task of assisting Africa and won the appraisal of "Excellent Personnel of China Medical Assistance Team in 2018", and was awarded the "Government of the Republic of Sierra Leone Medal for Public Health Cooperation".

At the hospital exchange meeting, President Huang Jiangping shared his work experience and life experience in Africa. He said that it was a great honor to bring technology to Africa on behalf of national doctors. At the same time, he thanked his colleagues for their hard work over the past year, his family for their understanding and tolerance, and the team for their joint efforts to achieve results.
